Hornby Skaledale Modern Bus Shelter – R8681  Rating 1/10

Review: The picture of the Skaledale Modern Bus Shelter on the box looked fabulous, with clear windows, metal frame, back supports whilst standing at the bus shelter, and a bulletin board. I was looking forward to seeing the actual bus shelter.

When getting the bus shelter out of it's box to my disappointment the picture on the box was far better in quality then the actual bus shelter I was holding in my hands.

The shelter looks extremely plastic, poorly constructed and the paint work looked poorly completed, to the extent the actual metal frame that the bus shelter was made out of was showing through. The gap at the top varied in size at each end, with one large gap and one small gap. Some of the bus shelter doesn't look formed correctly, especially as I thought it was made out of plastic until I saw the metal showing, and with parts of the shelter having broken pieces. The shelter doesn't look level when held and didn't stand level when placed on a level surface. The white paint used to demonstrate where the bus timetable would be placed was poorly completed and not straight.

Was this a one off badly produced bus shelter? I shall be asking hornby when it's returned to them.
