Hornby Passenger Coaches 2007

The Majority of new products for 2007 are re-numbered re liveried versions of Hornbys existing range of coaches. It is unclear at the moment whether there have been any improvements to the Intercity Mk3 125 HST coaches which are to go with the New 125 Pack of the same livery. Hornby have announced they are using the exLima tooling to produce to power cars but have said noting about the coaches. It would be nice to have more detail inside the Hornby mk3 coaches.

The new additions to the Hornby Range are their 4 new coaches for the Virgin Pendolino and the Maunsell coach which will come in SR and BR versions.

The 4 additional Pendolino coaches are 2 1st Class Open Coaches, one with a pantograph and one without pantograph and two standard open coaches (TSO) presumably with different running numbers. Its nice to see Hornby are backing up their new model with additional coaches to allow allow the creation of a realistic train. This is something they never did with their Eurostar Model which is crying out for a standard coach and a buffet car.

Both the BR and SR liveried Maunsell coaches come in 5 versions, Corridor 3rd Class, Parcels, Brake, Comp, Corridor 1st Class, and 6 com. Brake. At resent their are no prototype pictures available.
