Hornby 2007
Information - Train Packs
Hornby are to release 8 new train packs. The new
Class 43 HST 125 released in 2007 will be made using the Lima
tooling. This will be welcomed by many fans of the HST as the
lima model is recognised as the better detailed, more accurate
model. The model will also be DCC ready. I can only hope it is
also fitted with all wheel drive to help it cope with long
trains. This new HST train will be released in GNER and
Intercity white swallow livery. Hornby are also releasing the
intercity livered mk3 coaches to allow you to expand this set. I
will defiantly be purchasing the Intercity version so look out
for a review on the site.
Its comes as no surprise that Hornby are to
produce a Virgin Pendolino train pack as they announce the
release of the train set last Year.
The pack includes 2 power car (motorised and
un-motorised) which are both DCC fitted to allow control and
directional lighting and a standard open and buffet coach.
Hornby are also to release 4 additional coaches to expand your
train.
It is strange to see that 2 of the packs are not
DCC ready.
